Literary Quality
Obviously Proverbs's contents are predominantly the proverb. Old Testament Wisdom Literature is written in a predominantly poetic form. Even the prose is poetic in effect. Imagery, metaphor, and simile are employed. Parallelism lends an aphoristic effect.
