The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. - Genesis 3:20
Character
Expresses her authority humbly and gently. Takes care of her children. Loves so dearly, she shares herself.
Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. So being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12)
Responsibility of Her Children
Hear, my son, your father's instruction, / and forsake not your mother's teaching, / for they are a graceful garland for your head / and pendants for your neck. (Proverbs 1:8-9)
God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ (Matthew 15:4)
