Gilead


The Philistine army was like sand on the seashore at Michmash, so the men of Israel hid, while others crossed the fords of the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. Saul remained at Gilgal. (1 Samuel 13:5-7)

Abner the son of Ner made Ish-bosheth the son of Saul king over Gilead, the Ashurites, Jezreel, Ephraim, and Benjamin, and all Israel, in Mahanaim. (2 Samuel 2:9)

As Absalom led Israel to kill King David and take his throne, he crossed the Jordan and encamped in the land of Gilead. (2 Samuel 17:26)

Though Egypt gets balms from Gilead, there is no healing for them in Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon's conquest. (Jeremiah 46:11)

Jeremiah prophesied through the destruction of Babylon, the lost sheep of Israel would be restored to his pasture to feed on Carmel, Bashan, Ephraim, and Gilead. (Jeremiah 50:17-20)
