Jebusite

Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn and Heth, and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. - Genesis 10:15-19

Abrahamic Covenant

When defining the land promised to Abram and his offspring, the Lord said, “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.” (Genesis 15:18-21)

King David takes the stronghold of Zion from the blind and the lame of the Jebusites

After David was anointed king over all Israel, King David and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusite inhabitants of the land who said to David, "You will not come in here, but the blind and the lame will ward you off"--thinking, "David cannot come in here." David said, "Whoever would strike the Jebusites, let him get up the water shaft to attack 'the lame and the blind,' who are hated by David's soul," and defeated them. Therefore it is said, "The blind and the lame shall not come into the house." David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city all around from the Millo inward. And David became greater and greater for the LORD, the God of hosts, was with him. (2 Samuel 5:1-10)
