From Canaan, the Canaanites descended, and their territory extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim as far as Lasha. (Genesis 10:15-19)
Abraham sojourns in Gerar
From the spot he mediated on behalf of the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham journeyed toward the territory of the Negeb and lived between Kadesh and Shur; and he sojourned in Gerar where Abimelech the king of Gerar took and returned Sarah.
