Amon the governor of the city

Governor of Samaria in the time of Ahab. The prophet Micaiah was put in his and Joash the king's son's custody by order of Ahab. (1 Kings 22:24-28)

Amon of Thebes

AKA Amun, "The Hidden One." Chief god of ancient Thebes. Amun-Re is merged with Re of Heliopolis and is the "King of the Gods," "Lord of Heaven," and "Lord of the Thrones of the Two Lands." He is also entitled Amun-Kamutef, "Amun-the-Bull-of-His-Mother," meaning he is self-created and impregnated his own mother.
