Ahab

The king of Israel, husband of Jezebel, and father of Ahaziah.

Ahab's prophets vs Elijah

Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, but Obadiah hid a hundred prophets in a cave and fed them. (1 Kings 8:3-4)

Elijah had Ahab gather to Mount Carmel the 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah eat at Jezebel's table. Elijah told Ahab there is a sound of rain and to prepare his chariot lest the rain stop him. A great rain came and Ahab rode to Jezreel, but the hand of the LORD raced Elijah to the entrance before him. (1 Kings 8:19-46)

He told Jezebel Elijah had killed all the prophets, she sent a messenger, saying, "So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow." (1 Kings 19:1-2)

Ahab wants Naboth's vineyard

Ahab wanted Naboth the Jezreelite's vineyard in Jezreel, but the LORD had forbidden it. Jezebel saw his depression and said she would get it for him. She sent royal letters and two worthless men to testify falsely against Naboth and incite a stoning. Immediately, Ahab claimed his vineyard. The LORD sent Elijah the Tishbite to proclaim dogs will lick up his and her blood like they licked up Naboth's. Ahab tore his clothes and humbled himself, so the LORD waited to bring disaster upon his house in his son's days instead. (1 Kings 21:1-29)

Ahab's death

Ahab died and was brought to Samaria for burial. They washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood, and the prostitutes washed themselves in it, according to the word of the LORD that he had spoken. So Ahab slept with his fathers, and Ahaziah his son reigned in his place. (1 Kings 22:37-40)
