Pressure

Gaseous pressure is a function of temperature.

Pressure in Our Lives

Lord, when we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure. ~ Peter Marshall

The various pressures in our lives distract us so we can't think clearly or make wise decisions. When you have to make a rash decision, back up, take a breath, and make yourself take some time to analyze your choices more closely. When you start to feel the pressure, turn to God and His Word. He promised to give us wisdom if we just ask. You can also ask a trusted friend for a more objective perspective. God wants us to trust Him. He will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good. God promises relief and a way of escape for temptations and pressure.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Average Pressure

Average Pressure is an Average Rate of Change. Average Pressure is Δpressure / Δ temperature.

Example

  • If pressure is 210000 pascals at 30 degrees Celsius, and 220000 pascals at 32 degrees Celsius, what is the average rate of change of pressure over this range of temperature?
  • Δpressure / Δtemperature
  • f(32) - f(30) / 32 - 30
  • 5000 pascals per degree Celsius
