Mamre


So Abram moved his tent and came and settled by the oaks of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and there he built an altar to the Lord. - Genesis 13:18

Mamre the Amorite

Abram lived by the oaks of Mamre from time to time. Mamre's brothers were Eshcol and Aner, and they were all his allies. When word came that Lot was captured during the War of Nine Kings, Mamre joined Abram to rescue him. (Genesis 14)
