Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor
- Burial: Probably in his own tomb in the land of Benjamin in Zela (2 Samuel 21:14) (Assuming he was buried here. Scripture doesn't say.)
Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor. Father of Saul. (1 Samuel 9:1-2)
He sent Saul to search for his family's lost donkeys. (1 Samuel 9:1-2)
Townspeople by Rachel's tomb spread the word to Saul that the donkeys had been found, and Kish was anxious for his son. (1 Samuel 10:2)
When Saul returned from his adventure, he simply told Kish that he inquired of Samuel, who informed him the donkeys had been found. (1 Samuel 10:14-16)
I wonder if he didn't find out his son was Israel's first king until the weird prophesying rumors or even the lots cast to find the king.
