After Absalom's conspiracy resolved and David was brought back to Jerusalem as king by both Israel and Judah, Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite, led Israel and the Bichrites away from David and holed up in Abel of Beth-maacah, claiming they had no portion in David and no inheritance in the son of Jesse.
