David escaped Keilah to the strongholds in the wilderness, the hill country of the wilderness of Ziph. Jonathan went to David at Horesh and strengthened his hand in the LORD, reminding him he would be king and Jonathan would be beside him. The Ziphites went up to Saul at Gibeah and said they would deliver David into his hand. David fled to Maon. (1 Samuel 23)
The Ziphites came to Saul at Gibeah to tell him David was hiding on the hill of Hachilah, which is on the east of Jeshimon. So Saul went to the wilderness of Ziph with 3000 men and camped on the hill of Hachilah where David sparred his life and temporarily stole his spear and jar of water to make a point of it. Saul left for Gibeah, and David went his way. (1 Samuel 26)
