Nob

David fled from Saul here and asked for bread and a sword from Ahimelech the priest. He received the bread of the Presence and Goliath's sword. (1 Samuel 21) Doeg the Edomite was there also, and he reported this activity to Saul who ultimately summoned all priests before him ordered their slaughter because they must have known about the rebellion. No one but Doeg would obey, and he killed the men, women, children, and livestock of Nob. (1 Samuel 22)
