Hinduism is one of the most vivid religions imo. I'm tracking points of interest for myself from the top of my head, fact-checked by ChatGPT without deeper research for now.
I've never met an open follower, so my only experience is from a few hundred pages of the Bhagavata Purana and the Ramayan of Valmiki (and a shallow class on world religion using a Bob Jones text book in high school lol).
Patala
Patalas are part of the Hindu multiverse and also the name of a Naga underworld that resembles the Garden of Eden.
Yoga
Yogas are different paths to enlightenment.
C. S. Lewis
C. S. Lewis said if there was a backup religion he would follow if Christianity was no option, he would go for Hinduism. He found Hinduism a full-bodied religion unlike any other false religion in the world, and I think partly he was fascinated by ancient beliefs about the planets.
(Source: Forget which specific essay C. S. Lewis mentioned Hinduism in, sorry. I think it was a literary one about fantasy or George MacDonald or something? Could have been a personal letter to Arthur Greeves, though, so who knows?)
