Succeeded Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. As king, he freed Jehoiachin king of Judah, gave him a seat above the other kings in Babylon, invited him to dine regularly at the king's table, and gave him an allowance according to his daily need his whole life. (Jeremiah 52:31-34)
