Bethlehem


The LORD sent Samuel to Bethlehem to anoint David, interrupting his overly long period of grieving Saul's sin. (1 Samuel 16)

Following David's plan, Jonathan lied and told Saul he was absent from the table to attend a yearly sacrifice in Bethlehem. Saul revealed his murderous anger against David, so Jonathan warned David to flee. (1 Samuel 20)

Asahel was buried in the tomb of his father in Bethlehem by Joab his brother and the servants of David. (2 Samuel 2:32)
