The innate gift of a given skill is the minor gift. The skill comes naturally to you, but you don't necessarily enjoy doing it. There are millions of people with minor gifts who never do anything great.
The love of the work is the major gift. Loving to use a skill is more important than the skill itself. The love shines through and through practice skill is built, even exceeding the minor gift.
