"Am I not more to you than ten sons?" - 1 Samuel 1:8
He loved Hannah best and gave her a double portion when they sacrificed in the house of the LORD. The LORD closed her womb. He knew she was sad, so he comforted her, asking "Am I not more to you than ten sons?" When she did have a child, he encouraged her to do what she thought was best in honoring her prayer to God.
