Cushite

Joab sends the Cushite to deliver word of Absalom's death to King David instead of Ahimaaz

Ahimaaz the son of Zadok asked to run to tell the king the LORD delivered him from the hand of his enemies, but Joab told him to another day, for the king's son is dead. Instead, he told the Cushite, "Go, tell the king what you have seen." The Cushite bowed before Joab and ran. Ahimaaz insisted to be allowed to run after the Cushite, so Joab relented, and Ahimaaz outran the Cushite.

David and a watchman spotted him in advance and guessed, like Ahimaaz, he must also carry news.

Ahimaaz stood aside after delivering his message, and the Cushite arrived, saying, "Good news for my lord the king! For the Lord has delivered you this day from the hand of all who rose up against you.” David asked if it was well with Absalom, and he replied, "May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up against you for evil be like that young man." David was deeply moved and left, weeping. (2 Samuel 18:19-33)
