Average cost is $1,900. Which makes me feel better about considering $500 worth of pearls. I could have 9 yards of fabric and still be under average if I get them for less than $155/yd.

- Honeymoon - doesn't have to be far. So the groom has less travel anxiety, we can visit in advance for a weekend so he sees it's not far and seems very cute.

Venue
The ceremony is at our church. I think it's the pastor's first wedding, and the church is very dark, kinda ugly, and not very big. I would love to talk to see their ideas, my wedding planner's ideas, and just how you prepare a space like that. Truly, though, my groom insisted and I agree equally because we love the church.
Pretty photo venues - The gardens, the mountains, surely some of our beautiful historic buildings are available, the historic railroad station, museums
Vision
Small wedding ceremony with groom's family and my loved ones that we choose so we can be proud of our sweet marriage, let everyone know about it, and let go of the past. If any tradition necessitates abuse or is ultimately pointless, tradition is not needed.
Groom wants beautiful photos most. I want a beautiful dress, but I have never even been to a birthday party growing up and really need a lot of research to learn what weddings are tbh.
I think we both like for people to dress up, but it doesn't have to be stuffy or too orderly.
