The Spirit led Jesus to the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He tempts Him to turn the stones into bread, to throw himself off a pinnacle and have angels save Him, and to fall down and worship him. When Jesus tells him to begone, he left. (Matthew 5:1-11)
